AIMING AT PROMOTING, BOTH AT NATIONAL AND AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL, THE KNOWLEDGE AND PROTECTION OF VITTORIO MESSINA’S FIGURE AND ART, THE ARCHIVES SHALL CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:

• Archiving of works, inclusion in the General Catalogue as well as issue of the relevant archiving certificate
• Annotated collection of documents and information (collections of letters, volumes, catalogues, printed articles, manuscripts, photographs, films, interviews, etc.)
• Publication of the multi-volume General Catalogue
• Advice to organizers of solo and group exhibitions
• Organization, also on behalf of third parties, of exhibitions, conferences, lectures, forums, lessons, on Vittorio Messina and his time, and on the new artist generation representing Messina’s prospective development and continuity
• Publication of books, magazines, critical essays, articles, documentary research and degree theses
• Advice on restoration of works
• Advice concerning copyright and resale rights on the works.

The archives provide, by prior appointment:

• A specialised library
• A video and photolibrary
• The general catalogue of the works
• A documentation centre
